Be found by Employers or begin Searching for Jobs

Once you have created your profile page, thousands of potential employers will be looking at your profile within the next few weeks. You can sit back, relax and wait to receive messages from employers or you can start searching for posted jobs within your field. You can send messages to employers about jobs if you’re interested in a project and edit your profile whenever you like.

Employment, Education and Qualifications

Taking the time to properly list your credentials (education, awards, certificates, etc.) on your profile page is a great way to demonstrate your experience and expertise. You should include certifications, professional licenses, degrees, and references to past employment. Your profile should be updated regularly to reflect the changes in your experience and employment.

In addition to listing credentials, professionalPA offers the freelancer the option of having their listed credentials verified for a fee of $10.00. If you have signed up for Professional Membership, verification is already included.

The verification will stay on your profile until the freelancer makes a change to their profile.

How long does it take to get a credential verified?

Credential verifications typically take 1-2 weeks to process depending on the type of credential and overall volume of credential requests.

How do I request verification of a credential?

To verify your credentials, log in to your professionalPA account and follow the steps below:
  1. On your freelance profile page, click on the Request Verification tab located under your username and email address details located on the top of the page.

  2. Type in the space provided your instructions/message as to what needs to be verified on your portfolio.

  3. Fill in your credit card details.

  4. Click Submit.

  5. When verification of your details has been completed, a notification email will be sent to you and a verification icon and date will appear next to your profile on professionalPA.

Start Working on a Project

Once you find a job or an employer seeks your service, which you accept to undertake, the following may happen before you commence the project:

1. The employer may request you take a skills test, which will test your skills in your field of expertise. You will not be charged to take this test and can choose to accept or deny the request; however an employer may decide on hiring you depending on your choice.

2. The employer can request to have your credentials verified by professionalPA. Again, you will not charged and can accept or deny this request.
The terms and conditions regarding payment and timeframe of the project are discussed between you and the employer. ProfessionalPA acts as a noticeboard and is happy to help. Please refer to The ‘Most Popular Questions’ under the ‘Help’ section of the website which explains the correct steps for payment and timeframes.

Get Paid

Every freelancer operates payment, quoting and invoicing differently. Operate in the way you normally would with any other client. It goes without saying that should you complete the project correctly, the chances of being re-hired increases significantly, so it serves for freelancers and employers to play fair.

Leave Feedback for your Employer

Leaving feedback for your employer helps other freelancers know if the particular employer is easy to work with. This helps freelancers know if they should or should not accept a freelance project from the employer.

It also helps employers become more marketable when they post a project or approach other freelancers in the future.
